I recently received an
unsolicited response to one of the best examples that I have seen for receiving
God’s Prophetic Word. When you receive a prophetic word from one of
God’s voices, then you are to take it seriously enough to write it our, pray
over it and then obey the voice of God!
If you can remember way back in
January of 2005, the Lord gave me a prophetic Word that Hurricane Katrina would
hit New Orleans and the Gulf coast in 2005 and then further words following
before Hurricane Rita and Wilma eventually landed. This prophetic word about
Katrina was aired nationally on Sid Roth’s radio program prophesying this
catastrophe in July/August of 2005 prior
to the Category 5 power of Katrina’s destruction. (Published later on Elijah List, Sept. 1, 2005).
Prophet John Mark Pool, it was a pleasure meeting you in
person at the meeting in Romulus, Michigan. I do not envy the task
of a prophet, for I have experienced anger
from people for repeating such words. However, I understand the
role of a prophet and my responsibility to inform others.
In July 2005, I heard you on Sid Roth's radio show.
You spoke about New Orleans being underwater, flooded in 2005. My
spirit quickened to those words. I called my sister April, who is very
receptive to God's Words, and told her. One of her daughters,
Victoria was moving there and did. Victoria was brought up as a
Christian. However, after studying religion at the University of
Michigan, she began to not believe in God, and then took the stance of a
Muslim. She stated that Jesus Christ was a good man--a prophet at
best.
Shortly after, moving to Slidell, a suburb of New Orleans,
hurricane Katrina formed and was forecast to hit New Orleans. I immediately
called my sister April and told her she should have Victoria evacuate. Ironically, her
other daughter Crystal was there, as well, celebrating Victoria's birthday.
All three thought they could ride out the storm, Victoria, Crystal and Chris,
Victoria's roommate. Victoria and Crystal's dad concurred.

This is where
the miracle began! They came into the power of agreement in prayer and acted
upon the warning of God’s prophetic word and then contended for the word to
actually save their relatives! This is
precisely what God sends many of His prophetic words to His people to warn and
to give testimony of the Lord’s desire to save them physically, yes, but even
better spiritually for eternity!]
“However, my sister and I felt a heaviness.
We prayed that they would receive wisdom and insight and listen to the words of
the prophet.”
Hallelujah!
They fled to Houston, Texas and escaped all danger and traffic, for they
left before the mandatory evacuation.

“The real kicker was Victoria and Chris had been living there
for a short period of time and had no reasonable amount of money to evacuate,
gas tanks on "E" and no spending money. They just started their
jobs and have not received their checks yet. Victoria's parents were
paying their rent and expenses until they started work. The
girl's parents flew Crystal there and gave her money to
take Victoria out for her birthday. That money helped them to
evacuate.”
Anyway,
they left Houston for Arizona, where the girls'
parent lives. After being there for a short period, Chris
wanted to go back to Houston. Victoria agreed and Chris and her
settled there for a short period of time. Soon Wilma was brewing,
and I received an email from your ministries stating that we should pray for
Houston, or it will flood. I called my sister April and
informed her. At that time the news were not forecasting the possibility
of Houston Flooding. Once again, Victoria, Chris, Crystal and
the girls' dad thought that they were inland far enough.
When I called my
sister April, her husband answered the phone stating that everyone was
taking credit for the storm. That the Muslims were saying that their
god was punishing the US and he did not want to hear what "some
prophet" had to say. He then started to use
profanity. I told him if he wanted to talk, I have no problem with that;
however, I was not going to allow him to continue to speak to me that
way and politely ended our conversation. The next morning the
news stated that Houston was expected to flood. My
sister called me and we prayed that they would receive wisdom and
insight. Victoria and Chris left Houston and were not caught in any
traffic. They drove to a near by city and flew back to Arizona.
Ironically a Christian
church took them in while they resided in Houston, not a mosque. Victoria
and Chris since then have returned to Slidell. Their apartment
building was untouched, while devastation surrounds it. Victoria
has witnessed the Hand of God protecting her and the warning of a prophet. She recently
stated to her mother that she knows for sure that there is a God.
However, she thinks it is unfair that to say that Jesus is the only
way. Once again, we are praying that she and many others will
receive wisdom and insight.
Prayer is
powerful. Friends prayed me for while I was living a false, lukewarm,
Christianity life style. I lived a very worldly life, by true
Christianity standard, but a successful one by the worlds. I walked away
from all of that. I am now starting literally from scratch. I
am spiritually richer than ever. However, according to the world's
standard, I am fallen star. Yet, we who have insight and wisdom know
better.
